Time for the photography update! For the summer I've been diving into food photography. When I'm at school, I live in apartments that have dark and ugly kitchens. At home, I take full advantage of the spacious and light-filled kitchen. I have some other miscellaneous photography from design projects for clients, and those will be pretty random but I enjoy them nonetheless. If you want to see more photos, my Instagram (Link here!) is my most up-to-date platform. These are some behind-the-scenes images. Let's get into it!

I've been taking advantage of free time over the summer by taking time to photograph the whole process of making recipes. I normally photograph the things that I've made a few times and have a handle on. Trying to photograph and make something completely new at the same time is very stressful and I would not recommend it. The above photo is the first step in making my new favorite type of bread, a post with the recipe is coming soon!

I have also really enjoyed creating mini sets when I do food photography. In the next couple of weeks, I'll have a post out about food styling, but for now I've kept things pretty simple. At home I have more stuff at my disposal to use in shoots, because I take a pretty small amount of stuff to college with me. Just adding things in layers makes for a more interesting photo and I've been having fun learning how to arrange things! Keep an eye out for that post coming in the next couple weeks!

These are a couple of fun edits I made when I was working on color palettes for a client. I had fun selecting colors straight from the images and I think they look nice! When this project is complete, I'll make a post about the whole process if the client is okay with it!

The summer isn't over yet, so I'm hoping to do a lot more photography and include some portraiture before I go back to school. My next updates posts will be when I've been back at school for a couple months, so come back for other posts in the meantime!

Thanks for reading,

xx, Hannah
