Design Semester Recap SP19

Time for the design semester recap! Every time I finish a class I love looking back to see how they stretched me and pushed me in different ways. Like I mentioned in the photography recap, some of these will look familiar and others will be new!

Throwing it back to one of my first assignments! This glitch-y effect for this album cover is so cool, I'll definitely go back to it in the future.

These are a few of the pieces I did for one of my biggest branding projects! It all came together so well and it was an exercise in seeing how far I could stretch a design. I really enjoy branding projects and completing this one after two months of work was so satisfying!

These are mock ups of booklets I created for one of my design finals, we were challenged to use design for good and bring attention to an issue we care about. I chose to find a solution to the fact that the United State's education of foreign languages isn't very good. I created booklets that contained the basics of foreign languages, the short phrases you would use if you were visiting that country as a tourist. They would ideally be placed in locations like hotels, airports, or hostels for easy distribution. I've created them for Spanish and French, but plan to add more languages in the future!

These are some pieces I completed for my last branding project, it had kind of the same "do good" idea. I created a tea shop that would specialize in environmentally friendly loose leaf tea, support other local businesses, and have ethical business practices when sourcing anything that couldn't be obtained locally. I will have the whole project up on my website eventually, but for now you can go see it on my Behance page! Throughout the summer, I will be adding projects there as well.

There's a brief recap of my design work this semester! It was a lot of work but I'm grateful for the challenge. Please keep an eye out here all summer for new posts, and new content being added to my website!

Thanks for reading!

xx, Hannah
